The hard drive on my little iBook suddenly crashed on me last night. Thanks to this article at Lifehacker I am at least able to boot up from an external firewire drive and run Disk Utilities on the internal hard drive. I'm hoping erasing and restoring will do the trick, but I'm afraid things are not looking good.
